Delete your data

Last updated: June 19, 2026

Plain-language draft. Syncync is an independently operated service. We've written this to match what the app actually does. It is not legal advice and should be reviewed by a lawyer before launch.

You can delete your Syncync account and personal data at any time. There are two ways to do it.

Option 1 — delete it yourself

  1. Sign in at syncync.com.
  2. Go to Settings → Account.
  3. Choose Delete account and confirm.

This immediately starts deletion and signs you out.

Option 2 — ask us by email

Email [email protected] from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We may confirm it's really you before proceeding. We'll action it within 30 days.

What gets removed

Within 30 days of a deletion request we remove:

  • Your email, display name, and password hash.
  • Any linked Google sign-in identifier.
  • Your room history and chat messages tied to your account.

Your camera and microphone streams were peer-to-peer and never stored, so there's nothing to delete there.

What we may keep briefly

We may retain limited billing records (for example, Stripe invoices) where tax or accounting law requires it. These are kept only as long as legally required, then deleted.

Cancel a paid subscription

If you have Premium, cancel it from Settings → Account before deleting, or we'll cancel it as part of closing your account. You won't be billed again after cancellation. For help, see Support.
